Cookies

Nothing. No analytics cookie, no tracking script, no silent request to Google or Microsoft. The scripts are not loaded into the page at all until you accept, which is a stronger position than the usual one — most banners appear while measurement is already running.

The one thing kept without asking is your answer itself, so the banner does not follow you from page to page. It is stored in your browser's local storage under cv-consent, never sent to us, and cleared after twelve months.

Two measurement tools load, and only these two.

Google Analytics 4

Counts visits and page views so we can tell which journeys people actually read. Sets _ga and _ga_<id>, which last up to two years. IP addresses are anonymised and advertising features are switched off.

Microsoft Clarity

Heatmaps and session replay, to see where a page confuses people. Sets _clck (about a year), _clsk (a day) and CLID on clarity.ms. Text and form inputs are masked, so a replay shows that you typed in a field, not what you typed.

There is no advertising, no retargeting, no cross-site tracking and no data broker. We do not accept payment or complete bookings through this website, so there is nothing to follow you around the internet with.

The site works identically. Nothing is withheld, nothing is degraded and you are not asked again for twelve months. We would simply know less about which pages are worth writing.

Use the Cookie settings link at the foot of any page. It clears your stored answer and brings the banner back, so you can choose again.

Deleting cookies already set is separate and is done in your browser: every browser has a way to clear site data for a single site. Questions to privacy@calenvoy.com.
